Young Conservatives Take On The Texas Tech Tornado

It’s called the “Tornado of Ideas” and it’s a sculpture on the Texas Tech campus that cost about $142,000. It was commissioned in 2004 and created by Bronx, NY artist Tom Otterness. Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it, a “tornado” of clashing ideas? It might bring to mind a place of higher learning where students are encouraged [...]

FOXNews.com – Arizona Legislature Passes Bill Banning Ethnic Studies Programs

After making national headlines for a new law on illegal immigrants, the Arizona Legislature passed a bill Thursday that would ban ethnic studies programs in the state that critics say currently advocate separatism and racial preferences. The bill, which passed 32-26 in the state House, had been approved by the Senate a day earlier. It [...]

Kristol and McCain Lead the Right’s Defense Budget Retreat

Conservatives like Bill Kristol and John McCain still don’t ‘get’ the defense budget. Nor do they understand 21st Century U.S. military requirements. McCain actually wants to cut the defense spending. Kristol wants to increase defense spending, but doesn’t understand what that the new money must be spent on. Both Kristol and McCain, moreover, lack strategic vision. And both contribute to the failure of strategic vision that is now endemic on the Right.

The New York Times Lies About Arizona And Welcomes Illegal Aliens

The New York Times hit a new low today in its lead editorial entitled “Stopping Arizona.”  The Times maliciously misrepresented Arizona’s new law , intended to combat the ravages within its borders caused by illegal immigration.  The Times‘ lies are typical of the race-baiting tactics employed by the progressive left.
For example, the Times falsely claimed:

Our Never-Ending Election Season is a Good Thing

Famous British actor Michael Caine (A.K.A. Batman’s butler, Alfred) was on The Daily Show last night, when the conversation turned towards Britain’s upcoming election. He and Stewart criticized America’s never-ending election season style of campaigning. As soon as someone is elected (or even shortly before), everyone focuses on the next congressional and presidential elections.
This is [...]

Problems with Puerto Rican Statehood Similar to Those That Led to U.S. Civil War

When I heard the news that a vote on Puerto Rican Statehood was set to take place tomorrow, my heart stopped. I couldn’t process the fact that this rather transformational news did not reach my ears until the day before it was to be voted on. It reminded me of that awful dream where you realize that [...]

South Park’s latest “Muhammad” episodes won’t air in Sweden

There must be a whole lot of “misunderstanders” of Islam in Sweden for Comedy Central to be so afraid for its affiliated personnel there. Otherwise, what are they afraid regarding these episodes — disgruntled redheads protesting the “ginger” jokes? “South Park Muhammad joke won’t air in Sweden,” from The Local,…

State Department leaves Chechen jihadist group that killed dozens on Moscow subway off official list of terrorist groups

The State Department seems to think that, among the other attacks carried out by Doku Umarov’s group, a massacre on the Moscow subway isn’t jihadi enough for the jihadi club. This decision seems far more political than practical, though it is not clear what Foggy Bottom hopes to gain by…

Hamas-linked CAIR loses hijab case in Michigan

The facts of this case smack of sheer opportunism, and in this case, the judge saw through it. “Dearborn Heights woman told to remove hijab loses court case,” by Paul Egan for the Detroit News, April 29 (thanks to all who sent this in): Detroit — A federal judge today…
