While BDS ignores the brutish politics of Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Bashar Assad in Syria, and the PLO in the West Bank, it seeks to delegitimize Israel, the only true democracy in the Middle East. If BDS truly wants to support Human Rights it must first condemn such activities as throwing political opponents off roofs and using women and children as human sheilds. Only then will BDS have earned a forum. For now, Dr. Gur should be applauded for calling a spade a spade.
